Arrrrgh my second try at a slightly-tilted heart jacquard is ever wonkier than the first one--I fixed my first mistake but did something else wrong. I'll have to try yet again.

I am, annoyingly, slightly sick, but not too sick to plant myself on my couch to knit on my scarf while I watch the curling!

The scarf is coming along nicely now that I've worked out my colorway issue. Of course, I won't be able to go and get more of the original colorway while I'm sick, but if I run out of yarn to work on this project, there are many other projects...

TV and a scarf project are pretty good when you're sick.

I successfully completed another 30 rows! I think another 28 should get me to the shoulder shaping, because the pattern says to end on an 18th row for the size I'm knitting. Then there's two rows of shoulder shaping, which isn't shaping at all, just a straight cast off at the beginning of the next two rows, which couldn't be simpler. It's drop shouldered too, so no armhole shaping. It's my preferred style of sweater these days.

... is the other baby book I'm currently working on. The boy version of it - obviously, as everyone's favourite consulting detective would say. In any case, I've finished the front cover today. It's quite different from the girl version, but I like it a lot. Take a look:



I apologize for the quality of the photo. The iPad mini has its issues with the colour blue. Or rather, it turns everything white into blue and pale blue into a much darker blue. I used the corresponding sheet as in the girl version, and in reality, it's the same light, decent hue. I've edited the photo within an inch of its life, until the pattern became almost invisible, but it's still several magnitudes too dark. Grrrr!

And speaking of Grrr!, is there anyone else who didn't get notifications in the last 24 hours? I didn't get either emails, or notifications to my Inbox for the last day.

With my camera, it's red that's the problem, although I think it makes blue lighter. Cameras are weird. That still looks very pretty though, even if the colour isn't accurate.

I'm getting some notifications, but not all. Several comments here yesterday never came through to my email or inbox. I need to check this post and make sure I haven't missed replying to anyone.

Tested the duster I made yesterday. It works okay. Going to try a slightly different version next.

I spent 6 hours knitting while watching the first season on Downton Abbey and I can already feel I will have regrets tomorrow, but I cast off the hat I was working on and cast on the last one of the set. I will do the sewing later.

Decorating the bullet journal layouts has continued, but it's been boring to share. The last few layouts, it's just been using washi tape to cover the date banners.

I sewed today! Adjusted/fixed punk pants ready for an event, took ages but they’re way more comfortable now and because they’re punk I didn’t feel the need to have them be “perfect” (a mindset I’d love to carry over to my other projects more). Next are plans for turning a shirt into a crop top to go with them.

Yay, well done! I'm sure you can find a few other things that don't need to be perfect and have fun with them. Hope the top turns out the way you want it!
