Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
This Week's Question: Looking back at last year, which of your completed projects (or WiPs) were you most pleased with?
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Been having very little time during the week but this weekend I'm hoping to get a few more rows done on the beach cover-up, and I'll have a look at the finances and see if I can order the baby blanket yarn or if I need to wait for payday.

Good luck on the cover-up, and I hope the yarn purchase is doable.

As mentioned earlier in the week about the projects from last year that I was most pleased with, it was some painting kits that I'd done and so hopefully below are some photos. If you want to see them better you can click on the thumbnail to get a closer look.
This is the second one I tried and the first successful one - half an owl next to a pile of books with a motivational saying on it - this is the one that gave me the faith that a good kit was worth the time and effort. I've actually put this one in a frame and have it propped up while I try to find the right spot for it :
This is the third one I did - Stitch from the movie & cartoon series Lilo and Stitch:
The fourth one was from the same set as the previous and was Lady & the Tramp and I was really pleased with how effective it was:
The final one so far was Micky and Minnie Mouse on a moonlight night (kind of) - this was my least favourite of the successful ones :
I hope to tackle some more later this year but I've kind of decided that I need to finish some of the already started projects that I have before I'm allowed to start something else.

But yay for tapestry progress!
The pictures look really great! The owl one is my favourite (I adore owls), and Lady and the Tramp is a close second, but they all look so professional and perfect for displaying on anyone's walls.
