Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Another arm warmer sewn up! Unfortunately, I have a small, mostly healed cut on the of one finger on my left hand and I managed to jab the needle point into it 😣


While looking at patterns last night, I picked one out that should work for the red yarn from the part-made sweater I unravelled because the sleeves were too narrow even for my stick-thin arms. I had already picked a pattern to use with that yarn, but I like this one better. That might be my next project while getting around to dealing with the problem sweater.

It's annoying because it gets in the way when sewing things up. Hope it doesn't stop me from getting the arm warmers finished.

Haven't decided when I'll start work on the red sweater, but it's a shorter one than I usually do, waist length rather than hip length, just because the yarn is limited.

Hurray for another arm warmer sewn up! Sorry about injuring your pre-existing injury. Have you considered making a little wrap for the spot with some gauze and duct tape just while you're sewing? They make cut proof tape to wrap your fingers with while doing woodworking, but I'm not sure how easy that is to find.

The trouble with covering my finger with anything while sewing is that it invariable gets either stuck to what I'm sewing up, or I accidentally sew through the edge. Right now I'm just trying not to use that finger.

Thankfully, it's all healed up now and not causing problems.

I've almost finished the windmill page. All I have to add is the flea. Still haven't figured out how to make the dratted flea jump, though. Perhaps I should put the page aside and attack another one, where there are no such problems, just lots of detailed work. *is uncertain*

Yay for nearly being finished with the page. Sounds like the flea might require a bit more thought.

Theoretically, eyelets would be the solution, I'm just not very good with those. Probably don't have the right tools, either.

Yep, I'm trying to figure out if it would be possible to do it without using eyelets. Because they are such a nuisance. For me anyway.

Finished second arm warmer just a few minutes ago.

I made these shorter than the pair last year, so I should have enough yarn for a second set.

My resolution is to finally attempt to learn to crochet. Possibly not to the standard of making the Luna Lovegood kit I got for Christmas 2022, but at least progress.

Technically, I decorated the next layout, but there wasn't much to decorate. It's my "2024 Milestones" page, so I'm keeping it open for writing in, but I did cover the date banner at the top with washi tape and drew a bunch of little "sparkles" around the title at the top with a black liner pen.

Also, more knitting on the hat.
