Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

So, the fair was a big success. I've almost reached last year's record, even though I couldn't sell everything. It is hard to guess what would be in high demand in each respective year. But I did sell a great many things; and I'm very happy with the money I managed to raise, especially as I sell small stuff that is fairly cheap. My most expensive items were the little sewing kits, and those went for the equivalent of 2 Euros. Two colleagues were taking photos; as soon as I get them I'll share them.

Thanks. It isn't so bad that not everything sold; they'll keep until next year, and some of them I'll give away as gifts.

I finished the hat I was working on. Otherwise today I finished cleaning and organizing in the kitchen cabinets, which feels good. Didn't get outside to work on anything. It wasn't very cold but it has been very cloudy.

Congratulations on finishing the hat and on your cleaning & organizing session.

Well done, it sounds like the weather will be good for wearing your hat when you want to <3

Don't remind me of my pantry shelves... or of my craft cupboard. *hides in shame*
Now that my immediate projects are finished, I'll have to face the challenge of putting them in order, sooner or later.

Yesterday, I basically lived at the library (more than usual). I baked cookies for the library staff, the last art book workshop of the year, and the last book club meeting of the year. They went over quite well.

The last art book workshop, we made tiny planners. We built the covers, then attached a blank journal, a 2024 planner, 4 pockets, and 2 pens. It's all you could need but only 3.5 inches square. I need to redo my closure and I'm not 100% sure what I'm going to do with it.

(After that was book club, computer time, and the need for rest)

Today, I finally was able to get the last thing I needed to make the batch of cookies I was supposed to make today (which didn't happen).

I did get some knitting done though.

I can see why you needed to rest a bit. That was one busy day and no mistake, as Sam Gamgee would say.

Your library clubs sound great, I bet they loved the cookies you made! I hope you find something fun to use the planner for.

I've been editing the fic I finished recently. It takes me a lot longer these days but it's a good distraction and I usually sprint with pals at the same time ^.^
