Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

It rained all morning, leaving my lawn even more awash with water than it already was, but then the sun shone this afternoon and I was able to make use of the lovely daylight to finish stitching the frosting on the cupcake. Still a bit more cross stitch to do, then the backstitch, but I'm making good progress. Also dug through my patterned papers to find a good one for behind the stitching, and found a suitable card blank, a square white one with scalloped edges, that the stitching should fit on nicely. Now I'm off to do a bit more stitching.

Wow, congratulations to your progress!
Rain is depressing. We had a dusting of snow this morning, which was nice to look at from the window of a cosy warm room. Fortunately, it was already gone and the streets dried up when I had to leave the house for choir practice.

We had snow Saturday night/Sunday morning, woke to a blanket of white, but thanks to the rain, which poured all yesterday and this morning, it was gone by Monday afternoon.

I have finished all the cross stitch! Just the backstitch (outlining) and the making of the card to do.

I've made unexpected progress on the Christmas felt book. I don't want to copy & paste my long LJ entry about the details, but you can read all about it here. I'm very happy with it. I set aside this project a year ago and wasn't sure I'd ever pick it up again, but things look more promising right now.

That sounds like a great idea, you have the picture before Santa arrives on the front, then Santa leaving on the back. Funny how ideas strike at inconvenient times, in bed, in the bath, or doing the dishes...

finished a holiday present for my roommate's mom! :) just need to block it now! let's see if this image embeds properly of when it was almost-done and i was considering frogging at least half of it to fix a small error haha, i did not end up doing that

Congratulations! It looks great, and minor errors give handmade items that unique feel. =)
