Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

50 rows on the red arm warmers that are definitely NOT Daleks. Just so we're all clear on that. I'm keeping a close eye though, just in case...

Was it a typo or a premonition? With Doctor Who back on my TV, I think caution is advisable.

I'm so behind. I haven't watched since Matt Smith.

Peter Capaldi was good, but I skipped most of Thirteen. The Doctor needs to be quirky but with a dark edge, and Thirteen was about as menacing as a marshmallow. I just didn't find the actress believable in the role. Matt Smith was my favourite.

I'd liked her in other things so was disappointed by those reports.


Most of the reason I'm behind is I can't watch much TV usually, so I am watching my little bits with my husband. And he "doesn't get" Doctor Who. I need to try again, last time it came up I said "just consider The Doctor a trickster god and anything you're seeing may or may not be true" and he went....hmmm okay.

You might enjoy her, everyone has different tastes. I'd never seen her in anything, and when I watched her first season my mind kept wandering. It wasn't about her being a female Doctor, the casting simply didn't work for me. I liked her companions more than I liked her, and she had three of those. I'm not saying the episodes were all terrible, there were a couple I liked, but on the whole I wasn't enthused enough to watch the rest.

Maybe he'll 'get' the Doctor next time. My mum didn't get Doctor Who, but still let me watch it on the big TV downstairs

Almost finished with the 2nd placemat. Intend to get it done tonight.

It started snowing yesterday afternoon, and as of this morning we had 8 inches. It warmed up enough that shoveled sidewalks dried off but the roads look messy. Made a big pot of chili!

Boo for snow though, that's a ridiculous amount and it's still November! It snows early where you are. Stay warm, the chili should help with that!

I think we got all your rain this year. We didn't get very many days when there was no rain at all.

Does shopping count? I went to the fabric store with a friend and at first I said "I'm not going to get anything" and then I said "I'll buy fabric to make you a new Christmas stocking" and then she didn't find anything she liked for her stocking but I found a fabric so cute I bought a yard of it just because.

… oops? (The fabric is really cute.)

Shopping for craft supplies totally counts! Yay for cute fabric, sometimes you just have to get things when you see them because next time they'll be sold out.

Have decided what to take on my holiday for working on.

A bag of fabric and some templates for covering, and my sewing bag. That should be sufficient stuff for me to do - I don't intend to have a lot of time for sewing, but a seam or two each day would be great.

Working on a dual Nerdopolis/holiday_wishes project today for a bit. But mostly, settled down and started frogging that crocheted hoodie I had attempted. Still lots of frogging to go, but hey, at least it's started!

Pulling stuff undone always takes longer than you think it will. Good luck with the frogging, and with the current project!
