Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Managed 40 arm warmer rows while watching Strictly, although I'm amazed I didn't drop a bunch of stitches. Finished the second of the shorter pink arm warmers, and I'm 30 rows into the first of a multi-coloured pair.

I can't make biscuits to save my life. Baking is a wonderful talent to have =)

I love baking - have it from my Granny, most likely. Of course, she was a genius in the kitchen while I'm just a hobby baker, but I enjoy it very much.

I wish we lived closer to each other. I could ply you with baked goodies for Christmas and perhaps even show you how to make the really easy ones. Come on, I did it with 5th-term kids, if they could do it, you'd be able to do it, too.

My mum was great at baking, but to be honest cooking anything has never appealed to me. I cook as little as I can get away with because for me it's a chore rather than a pleasure. I like eating cookies and cakes, but making them is just messy and tedious with a load of washing up at the end. I'd rather be in the garden or knitting, or doing cross stitch. Mum used to sew really well too, making clothes, but I hate that too. We all find the things that appeal to us, that we can enjoy =)

I don't like cooking, either. It's slave labour. Now baking, that's a different thing.

For me it's all the same. So glad you enjoy baking, we should all get to do the things we enjoy.

I meant to do a second coat of paint on the fence this afternoon. Was waiting for it to warm up. Started getting dark and colder. :/ A storm missed us to the north. It didn't rain so I should be able to paint tomorrow at least.

So I repotted the African violets that my cousins are adopting and have worked on the placemat project a little.

I finished my spinning project & plyed it a little while ago. Now I'm making a cowl out of it. It's in seed stitch on large circular needles. It's a variegated mix of blues with some pinks and purples too.

I so admire people who know how to spin. I tried to write about it once (for a fanfic) but simply couldn't imagine how it is done and had to give up the idea.

Blues with pinks and purples sound nice.

Spinning is something that I pick up & put down for long stretches. I'm very much a beginner at it but I enjoy it when I'm doing it. This spinning project I started years ago & finally picked back up & finished this year.
