Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

 

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

My first attempt at posting with the new posting page (which I don't like but will have to get used to).

Very tired, but I made it to my appointment. Got there 25 minutes early, but it meant I got called in 15 minutes before my appointment time. Everything went well, I have hearing aids now, but I'm not wearing them at present because I have a bad headache and I do not want the world to be so LOUD!


The headache isn't down to the hearing aids, I blame the taxi ride home because I have chemical sensitivities and the driver had a household air freshener in each of the back seat door pockets. That kind of strong scent always does me in, so even though I had the window open to the cold air all the way home, the smell still affected me.

Oh gosh. I have sensory problems too and air fresheners are terrible.

It's awful, isn't it? The plumber used silicon sealant once in my bathroom. I had a permanent headache for a week until the smell wore off, and I could smell it no matter where I was in the house. I have to be so careful with cleaning products and perfumes *sigh* Even hand creams and soaps.

It is. So hard finding things I can tolerate. I have one perfume I can wear, and I can't use air fresheners.

When I went to the allergist he said "you have a lot of drainage right now." Buddy, I was just in a waiting room with at least 3 people who bathe in perfume.

I would've had to leave before headache became migraine. People can be so inconsiderate. I don't want to smell someone's perfume from the other side of the room.

Yay for a good appointment and hearing aids! Sorry about the headache. Air fresheners are horrible.

They sure don't belong in cars! Not that kind at least. The head is better but I'm still suffering after-effects. Went to bed early and didn't get up until 8.30, which helped. The world, however, is too loud. 😣

I haven't gotten to do any crafting yet, but soon.

Other than chores, I put up an "adoption" notice for some African violets on my family Facebook group. I have duplicates of Grandma's plants that are grown up enough for a cousin to take home.

One more surprise box done. Otherwise I was doing inventory of my baking ingredients all morning and early afternoon - after defrosting the freezer. That was enough to kill whatever creative mood I might have had (not that I had any...) But at least I have a to-bake list as long as my arm and an inventory list that is twice as long. *g*

105, but quite a few of them have to be filled yet. I've run out of candy and won't be able to go to the shop where this particular kind is sold until Tuesday.

You're past the 100 mark then, I thought you must be. You can fill the rest when you get some more cany, you still have plenty of time.

finally gave up on doing intarsia for a vertical-stripes scarf and cast on 369 stitches 😭🤣 now my main worry is that one smallish skein of each color that i got won't be enough and i'll have to order more and risk dye lots being different...fingers crossed!

Fingers crossed! That cast on number is terrifying.

Crossing everything for you that the dye lots are at least a close enough match that it wont be noticeable.

Not feeling great today and I'm calling it an early night.

I did do some fic plotting and some knitting on the hat.
