Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Good luck! How many arm warmers do you have already? More than sweaters or less?

Again, it was a busy day, but I've finished two more lavender-infused little pillows and got an idea for quick and easy ornaments to make in the last moment. *g*

Lavender is lovely!

The good news is: they're half-done already. I promise to post a pic when they are finished.

I finished my scarf, it’s a bit short, but I don’t have any more suitable yarn so it will have to do. I also made two small granny squares for the x-mas tree. I plan on making some more and other small decorations to use up left over yarn.

Leftover stuff is always good for small decorations. I do the same with paper and felt rests.

Short scarfs can be nice when you need something extra snuggly.

Well done!

Our internet was down for 9 hours today and it's gone down briefly several times since it came back, so I'm checking in while I can.

The only crafting I did today was working on gaming characters (my own & others) during a library D&D session teaching people how make characters and basic game play.

I also keep forgetting to mention that my mother has decided that I am knitting a pair of slippers for my Dad. She's gone as far as stealing borrowing one of the worn out slippers from the pair these would be replacing from his house and finding a very similar pattern. She also plans on covertly measuring his shoes to get me the sole length measurement needed to size the pattern. It all feels a bit nuts, but I might be able to get her to pay for the yarn.

Exactly!

Well, assistant to the D&D instructor, but thank you :)

She really is. Thanks. :)

Your mum is determined, it seems. I'd be, too, if someone else were doing the knitting. *g*

How annoying that with the internet! Does it happen frequently?

She really is!

Big multi hour outages like that are rare. The provider seems to have had a mass problem, I haven't really found any information on. They are a cable TV, internet, and landline phone service provider, and all of their services were out, in at least 3 states (one of which is not connected to the other two), during that time. We just have internet with them.

The going out multiple times a day for short periods of time is pretty common for us, though that has more to do with my living in a rural area with bad infrastructure.
