Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

No idea how I managed to get everything done early today, but I have so you're getting an early post tonight. And yes, I did remember to put the clocks back last night.


I picked out another 15 spiders, plus some more meeces because I realised I only had one with orange on it. Gotta have pumpkin meeces on Halloween.


Got 35 candy bags made up, and I've got some extra candy in case it's needed.


And this morning I moved my car as far back in the garage as it would go, giving me almost 5 feet of space in front of it. Hopefully that will keep the rain off and save me having to leave my car out all day. I put the paste table up, and attached the upright poles at the four corners that I'll string the lights on, then found I couldn't close the garage door, It's the up and over kind and it was getting caught on the front posts, so I had to part untie them and tilt them. I'll re-fasten them on Tuesday morning, when I put the lights up. At least I'm partway there.

Wow, that was a lot of work! Good luck with re-fasten the lights. I hope you'll have a great many trick-or-treaters. After all that work you've put into the things you deserve appreciation.

I love the idea of pumpkin meeces. :)

I haven't put the lights up yet, it's just the supports that have caused a bit of trouble, but I just need to re-tie the bottom of them before stringing the lights etc.

The pumpkin meeces are just meeces striped with orange, but it seemed important to have some of those on offer. Tomorrow I have to get the pendants ready to be hung up.

Also managed 50 arm warmer rows, 10 to finish the first pair of pink ones which I decided to leave at 100 rows, so they're cast off, and 40 rows on the first of a second pair of pink arm warmers. This pair might be shorter, impossible to say at this point. I want to use up the rest of this pink yarn. If necessary I can always add a few rows of another colour.

Not entirely ready yet, there are still things that need doing, but I'm getting there =)

I did a nice bit of crafting today. The Heineken Santas are all finished, and so are two of the little seraphs. I've done the sequin work on all four of them and hope to finish them in a day or two. When they're done, there will be a picture, together with the newest baubles. I've got very little storage space of the iPad mini left, so I have to save it when I can.

Oh, and since we'd used up another roll of toilet paper, I made another surprise box today: #75!

I ended up disliking the first snowflake pattern. Today I tried another and it's fine.

We had some snow flurries but it melted immediately. The dog and I are in the electric blanket as it is dark and windy.

It is such a disappointment when the pattern doesn't turn out as you hoped for. Glad you've found a better one.
