Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: No question today.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

This evening, I knitted 40 rows on the second arm warmer while watching Planet Earth 3. Only another 60 rows before it'll be the same length as the first one.

The alcohol method (isopropyl alcohol) is only for permanent markers. For water based ones you have to use water. I found a tutorial on youtube.

Well done on the knitting.

The knitting will have to wait now until the weekend.

Other than that, it was a lazy day. I've made a few more gift tags for the fair and took a really long nap in the afternoon. I also started to type up the disjointed parts of a brand new Kindred: The Embraced story, in the hope that I'll manage to shape it into a coherent whole during the next

#Well done making more labels, and good luck with your writing! I'm still trying to get my spook_me fic ready for posting. Only halfway through editing, and I still need to divide it into chapters.

Naps are important.
Excellent story prep work.

Granted, there's always the night, but I find I can no longer go on as little sleep as in my youth.

The woman tried this for awhile and found that she was tired and grouchy all the time and getting even less done than before. So she went to her grandmother to see what she was doing wrong.
Her grandmother told her she wasn't doing the most important part, taking many naps.

Mother-in-law and I looked at possible paint colors. Having trouble as the sample cards are few and the online tools for the paint company are poor. We want to paint the garage soon as a test, then the house next year.

Hope you can find suitable paint colours. Painting a garage and then a house... those are big jobs!

Between today and yesterday, I finished the mitten I was working on and am almost halfway through it's mate.
Today, I also finished dusting and decorating the entertainment center. It could use some more lights, but overall, I'm pretty happy with it.
I was hoping to do more today, but the day just kinda flew by. Between that and my brain just seeming to check out after work yesterday, I feel like I lost a day somewhere. While I have other things to do this week, I don't have to work until Thursday afternoon. I am hopeful I can partially catch up.

Well done on the mitts. Are they a better fit this time?
Yay for decorating. I hope you can get everything you want to do finished during your time off.

Yes, it's still a little bit tight, but they go on much easier and I figure they will give more with time.
Thanks!
