Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

No crafting today, although I did mull over a few possibilities for the card.


I had to deal with a delivery of logs, so I got up extra early and they didn't deliver until a little after 11am *sigh* Of course, then I had to move all the logs by hand from the driveway to various places around the back of the house, which as always nearly wrecked me. Took about 90 minutes, but thankfully it didn't rain until some time later so this time my logs are lovely and dry. By tomorrow I'll barely be able to move, but I have logs for the fire. How long they'll last is anyone's guess.

I remember when we lived in Transylvania, my poor Mum had to fight her own battle with the (usually wet) logs and tree branches for the hearth.

At least I can buy mine kiln dried, even though if they're delivered when it's raining they're anything but dry. I was lucky this time.

The mini sewing kits are all finished. I only need to add the thread samples, which is a boring but easy task, best done in front of the telly. *g*

I also made 9 small gift tags, using up leftover strips of card stock and some stickers. I've decorated the edges with felt-tipped pens and hung them on silk thread, so they look really pretty.

They belong to the "cheap stuff for the small purse" category. Most little kids spend their money at the cookie stand and are then desperate to find something to buy for their last cents. I'm catering to their pleas. *g*

Well, cookies... who wouldn't *grins* Nothing like homemade cookies!

At least you're ensuring they'll be able to spend all their money.
