Managed to get a bit of backstitch done today, but only about a fifth of it so far. Still, it's progress.

Yes, it's tricky. Thankfully, most of it is just outlining the stitching, but I'm doing the outer edges at the moment, and that's the easy part. The lily in the middle will be harder.

I finally hung up the other bats - don't have them quite right but I was done messing with it.


Also here's the hanging basket I made the other day. I'm going to make 2 more at least. This is a compromise project. My husband always wants to hang stuff like safety glasses, gloves, in plastic bags off of these hooks. It is just off of the kitchen and always messy.


This afternoon I have been planting a bunch of daffodils.

The hanging basket is a terrific idea!

My husband said we should really make better hoops for the porch decorations, since I like those so much. Aside from the largest one, I have just been using old wire hangers stretched into circles and attached to each other.

New decoration hoops might be fun, but at least you're getting use out of the wire coat hangers. They have to be good for something.

Daffodils are so lovely.

The daffodils are descendants from my great-grandma's garden. White with orange center or the large plain yellow trumpet.

Also, I finished knitting the mitten I was working on and started it's mate.

Thanks! It did. There is a bit of a learning curve, but it mostly boils down to data entry. And I caught and fixed a major mistake the person before me did on 4 months of record keeping.
