Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

More work outside today, scraping at moss, and cutting down the nettles under the buddleia. I let them grow there because it's food for the caterpillars of some butterflies, but at this time of year they start becoming a liability. Also started hacking at the front hedge again. It's SO overgrown *sigh*

I was going to say something that was, hopefully, encouraging, but my brain keeps picturing an invasion of helpful hobbits.

I've continued my mini sewing kit project. All 12 lashes are seamed and equipped with decorative buttons and even sewn on to their final places, which brings the whole project one step further. Yay! I've also selected a bunch of buttons; each kit will have 3 of them, sewn onto a narrow slip of felt, for emergencies. *g* Then there will be the other half of the Velcro work (shudders) and the sewing the whole thing together. I hope to get the project finished next week, but I'm not entirely sure I'll manage. Too many things to do, too little time to do it. *sigh*

Thanks. Due to two pinpricks and a paper cut on strategically important fingers, the Velcro needs to wait. But there are always other projects.;))

I'm finally settled in enough that I'm back to crafting! I haven't been able to crochet much because my hands hurt but I bought a secondhand sewing machine and some fabric. I'm going to try quilting again!

Worked on the yard moving some dirt and rocks this morning. No crafting. I still need to hang up the bats.

I almost finished knitting the second mitten (I have 4 rows left, pending size check).

I also finally checked the if the marble regluing on the painting took and it seems to have been a success. I picked it up, shook it, flipped around, and nothing fell off. This time it will get wrapped before going into storage.

This evening I was also finally able to get a ride to the store in hopes of getting the one thing I need for my Halloween costume. The entire costume section is gone. Actually, nearly half of the entire seasonal section has already been replaced with candy and Christmas. It was disappointing, but at least it was a quick trip and I didn't have to walk home.

That sucks. Is your costume going to be incomplete or can you make what something that will work? Halloween stuff goes so fast =(

My costume is like 90% painting my face and what I need is the base color. I can probably come up with something that will work, it's just going to be really hard to get the right effect. So salvageable, but at this moment, I am still annoyed.

Indeed. I'm not going to lie, I am very excited the glue worked, despite being fairly sure it was going to.
