Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

The first bit of stitching I did today was in completely the wrong place, but I didn't realise that until I went to add the next colour to the lily bud, after doing all the dark orange for the last spray of flowers, leaves, whatever they are, and all the yellow on that part. Went to stitch the yellow on the bud, and I'd stitched the orange where the yellow goes, so I had to unpick and re-do it. Only about 20 stitches, but annoying. Still, I only have one colour left to stitch now, and then the backstitch which is different colours for different parts of the design. I'm getting there!

I can, and I will. I just felt like such an idiot because I thought I'd double checked exactly where to stitch and I still got it wrong =/

One or two more stitching sessions should do it, but I need to use the good weather for outside stuff so I might not get back to it for a few days.

Two more days of warmth, then more rain and temps dropping as low as 12C... *shivers* I'll have to get the fire lit soon.

I feel you. We had 3 hot sunny days, then it flipped to fog and heavy mist on Sunday. The rain is supposed to start today or tomorrow. We were not able to prepare all the plants.

Thanks. They should be okay now until the wind picks up. We got the ones that needed to be sheltered under cover today during the break in the rain.

Ah. You are going to need the fire soon.

Hope they'll be okay until you can rescue the rest.

Now they're saying it will drop to 11C, and that's the high temperature for the day. Mostly it will be lower than that *shivers* The fire isn't ready to be lit *sigh* I didn't finish cleaning it in summer and now the inside is damp.

So far so good. Though I really regret not getting that mini greenhouse in the spring.

Today I had big shopping day: three different supermarkets, a pharmacy, a herb shop, a post office, a bank and three shops selling craft supplies (among other things) were visited. It took me all morning, so I only started sewing after 4pm. But the needle-holder strips for the other 9 mini sewing kits are now firmly applied, so I can go on to the lashes tomorrow.

The booty in the craft shops wasn't very rich. But I *have* bought one very beautiful designblock pad and a small bag of 4 adorable knitted hats. I might make styrofoam snowmen to wear them later; although I'd *love* to learn how to make more of those tiny hats.

But I'm glad I did it. These things require a lot of work, and time is always short.

That's a lot of shops! I'm amazed you had any energy at all for crafting after all that.

The tiny hats sound adorable! Little snowmen wearing them would be so cute!

I'm working on a second bat for the porch today.

The last couple days I've been planting some iris and hosta. After it being 95F on Tuesday, today it's windy, chilly, and have a Frost warning for tonight! So I have also been running around getting the winter blankets out and such.

Yay, a friend for the first bat! Maybe they'll produce tiny batlets...

Wow, your weather is nuts! Stay warm in the frost. We're not that cold here yet, but we haven't had temperatures so high either.

Kinda did this in spring too. Aside from this cold night the rest of the 10 day forecast looks seasonal. Kicking us off with frost!

Sounds mostly quite pleasant. Here it's just mainly cold and wet, The forecast for this weekend was supposed to be mid-twenties and sunny but it kept changing so now we may get 21C, but I'm not counting on it. Will have to light the fire in a week or so when it hits a meagre 14C in daytime.

A friend stopped by yesterday and I told her I was thinking of making a pumpkin to go with it. She said "no, more bats!"

Your friend is wise. Pumpkins are good, but bats are better.
