Check-In Post September 30th 2023
Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: No question today.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

I've worked some more on the cross stitch flowers, started the orange lily, then checked the chart and thought, Oh no, I'm using the wrong shade of orange! So I unpicked what I'd done, checked the chart and key, and realised I'd been using the right colour all along. *headdesk* The lily is the hardest part of the design because there are two symbols that are very similar right next to each other in the chart, and both are for shades of orange. Anyway, I did make a reasonable amount of progress.
Also, the charms I ordered a few days ago have arrived and they're brilliant =D

Looks okay on the porch, can't tell as far away as some of the others I've made.

Also, with the aid of the library computers, I managed to get the part of the Fall Fest Bingo post that needed tweaked fixed so my co-host got the post up at allbingo. And I got the prompts for the table comm typed, edited, and sent to my co-mod so she can do the coding for the table and I got the table intro for it's post done and sent to her as well so the table can just go up when she is done. This was a sprint. I had an hour before art hanging and an hour afterwards and that prompt list ended up being 544 prompts after editing and removing duplicates.
I forced myself to relax the rest of the day as much as I was able to try to prevent myself from riding that high of good energy and getting myself into something I would not have the energy to finish later. October is crazy enough already. I don't need unplanned extra projects.
It did knit on the drop stitch shawl for a bit to try and expell some nervous energy, but I over did it. My left arm is already aching. It is close to done though. I'm pretty sure once I finish the current section, I will officially be out of needle space and need to cast off.
Sorry this is such word salad.

Glad you got all the prompt and table stuff sorted out, that sounds like a huge task, and a lot of prompts.
I know what you mean, sometimes it's easy to overdo things without realising and then you suffer for it later, which is never good.
Congratulations on almost finishing the shawl!

Thanks. It really was. I hope I haven't overwhelmed my co-mod.
Yes.
Thanks :)

I'm sure your co-mod can cope. We mods are hardy creatures ;)
