Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Your pendants are very pretty - but a lot of work, I think. How are your fingers doing?

I'm glad I never learned the art of online shopping. The flat would burst from all stitches and the family would be ruined financially. *g*

You don't know how true that is!!! Someone should cancel my paypal account!

Excellent work!

Today I visited some craft shops and at Rayher I bought this. It was a bit price-y for only 4 tiny angels, but my nefarious plan is to use them as templates and make many more little ornaments from my felt rests. I've got enough of those; and chenille wire, too. All I might have to buy are some wooden beads - the paper ones I've got in my stash are either too large or too small. We'll see.

I was roaming the town for four hours altogether, so not much else got done, except stitching on the "icing" on all 6 doughnut-shaped keyrings. That is always the first phase, and I like to use the mass production method when I make similar items. All in all, I'm content with my progress, especially as I spent half the day out of the house.

Doughnuts should always be properly iced. *nodnod*

Sounds like you had a lovely day. Things are always worth it if you can make more than what's in the kit once you've got the patterns/instructions. Then it's an investment.

That's what I'm telling myself when I glance at the price and fell the blood leave my face. *g*

A very productive day!

Donuts are always better with icing :)

Frankly, I prefer the jam-filled ones, with just icing sugar on them, but as keyrings the other kind works way better.

Filled donuts are very tasty, but yeah, not sure they'd make for good keyrings, unless you had very specific audience in mind.

Dabbling here and there at the moment, which is mostly procrastination from writing my spookme submission, which I'll pay for later when I start running out of time.
My cross stich is about 90% complete, but has been delayed by my learning different granny squares from the books we bought and still occasionally adding rows to my knitted scarf and my crocheted scarf.
I was naughty and bought two more cross stitch kits today on a whim. I should have enough for about the next decade, but I can't resist a pretty picture and will no doubt keep adding to the collection.

I so admire everyone who can do cross stitch. I never got the hang of it: too small stitches and too much counting for my tired brain. *g*

I have spent two days waiting by the phone to hear from the library about art change and have not heard a peep from them. (This is a mild exaggeration as I did run errands, but still.) I know the services director in charge is very busy and a bit scattered brained at times, but I am getting a little bit annoyed.

Today I also double checked that the fall fest bingo post for allbingo could go up as is. It can and would be fine, but there is a section I would like to edit, if I get a chance.

I got all of my information for the prompt list rec post for madrona_info comm gathered together, but didn't get the post up.

I had hoped to get the intro blurb and prompt list to my co-mod today for our Halloween Baking championship inspired table for our table comm so she could do the coding, but this project is a lot bigger than I anticipated. I am still in the research phase. What I think I will do is send her the blurb and the prompts I already have tomorrow and post a second table with additional prompts later. Honestly, she wouldn't have had time to deal with it today anyway.

On the knitting front, I worked on the full sized baby blanket until I got to the point I needed to add a new ball of yarn. It seemed like a good place to stop. I have 20 rows of the body and the bottom border left.

Very much so. Though it turns out it was partially out fault. They day he called was the same day our power went out for a few hours and my mother unplugged the phone and I wasn't aware it was unplugged until I went to bed that night. But he also never tried back after that one phone call.

Thanks!

It so close, I can taste it

That was my thought.

One step a time; you'll get there eventually.

Indeed :) Thanks
