Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

More sorting of stuff in the boxroom, and assigning stuff to drawers in the new units, although I might still change my mind about what goes where. Also more dismantling of necklaces, and I've put a few more to get rid off, mostly the kind made of seed beads since I already have more than enough of those and they're useless for the Halloween pendants. The holes are way too small for the cord I use.


On top of that, I went back into the cupboard with the boxes of books and dug out 8 horror novels to get rid of, because I don't read much horror anymore, plus a book I read and enjoyed many years ago but know I'll never read it again. It's not much, but it's something. The more I can get rid of the better.

It can be, but I just have so much stuff it never seems to make any difference [=(

I'm trying to design a cat's head to make black cat brooches, but I'm not good at drawing. *sigh*

Try googling for Hello Kitty! colouring pages. The cat heads on those are really basic; you can print them out and use them as templates.

In theory I could, if I had a working printer... I can look for Hello Kitty stuff in the charity shops though... Thanks for the idea.

I was, I just wish progress was more noticeable.

I've finished the two birthday albums. They are nowhere near to what I would find appropriate; fortunately, the recipients are more forgiving. There are faults in one, and there are several empty pages in both - I'll suggest to glue in dried and pressed leaves, or birthday photos or whatever. The sad truth is, there were too many projects with too close deadlines lately, and I just didn't feel like working on those albums any more.

I also finished the two mini purses. Those turned out according to my expectation, so it's fine. Only had to undo one row of lace and to stitch it back: about 5 cm altogether. From now on, I'll be making small things for the Christmas fair and working on my Christmas quiet book that is more than half-finished. And on the other felt songbook, but that one isn't due before Christmas, either, so I can take my time and actually enjoy crafting again.

Yay for getting one project out of your hair, even if you're not completely satisfied with it. Relax now, make what you want to make, and hopefully crafting will become fun again.

I hope so. I shouldn't start so many things at once; the pressure gets to me after a while. OTOH, it's really hard to resist when inspiration hits. ;))

a little sewing on the medieval rose applique curtains and another is finished and I only have one left to do!!!

Lots of pre-release book stuff for the Medieval Wisdom for Modern Women book and behind the scenes stuff there, but at this point it looks very amazing and I'm looking forward to seeing the finished products. Some of the bookmarks I had printed arrived and I spent an evening cutting them to size and they're really lovely too. Feeling very hopeful about this project!

Today was supposed to be fiber group, but for the second month in a row it wasn't happening and no one took it off the online calendar. This month, I was prepared! I spent the time on the library computer cleaning up my main email and looking at my spook me prompts.

I was going to knit on the full sized baby blanket at home, but I needed something more brainless to work on, so I knitted on the drop stitch shawl instead.

Before all of that, I was on the phone getting our landline reconnected. It was apparently a very odd issue and I had to go through 4, admittedly nice, people, but so far it's working. I keep rechecking every so often because I am a paranoid little gremlin.

Well, at least your time wasn't wasted! Hope your prompts are proving inspiring. I have an inkling of an idea for one of my fics (ironically the snake one) which might involve both pics...
