Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: No question today.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

No work on spiders today because this was the last dry day for at least the next week and I desperately needed to get my glasses adjusted. Haven't been able to wear my new main pair at all because I can't see through the varifocal part, and my reading glasses have been digging a trench behind my ear, so I cycled into town. Had to leave my main pair with the optician, but the reading glasses are fixed.
Picked up more suet pellets and holographic card at the hardware store that's closing, also a new witch's hat for Halloween. Stopped off at the craft shop and got some small envelopes I'm hoping will fit some small cards that don't have envelopes. Also found some tiny googly eyes I can use on googly bugs, 4 small brooch backs, and the shop had a box off rub-off transfers for card making at 1p each, so I grabbed 100 of those. I was offered the whole boxful again, but couldn't carry that many on my bike with everything else. I think I got most of the ones I can use.

It was a very good haul, I'm looking forward to playing with the rub-offs.

A bit of rain is fine, but we've had rain most days this 'summer', so we could really do without another week-long deluge *sigh*

Thanks, I hope so too. They weren't cheap, and I've only worn them once. The distance part is fine, but the close-up part is totally wrong. =/

That is quite the haul!

It truly was! I'd love to go back and get some more of the rub-offs, but next week is supposed to be storms, pouring rain, and winds up to 50mph, not good cycling weather or good for walking with an umbrella.

I've started to work on the head and it's going to be less simple than it seemed looking at the pattern.

Crafting-wise, I've only done 1 row on the trivet. There's only 3 rows left on this one so I might finish up tonight.

Also while we were wandering around downtown, we went into the bead shop (I wasn't aware we had one). They sell a lot of individual beads for a decent price, so I will need to come back. I have several projects that aren't done purely from lack of a bead or two.

Yes, now the real question is will my bank account ever forgive me? ;)
