Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: No question today.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Then, since it wasn't much further, I continued on to the hardware store to grab yet more bird food. The big tubs of suet pellets were all gone, but I got 4 different kinds of suet blocks and some suet logs, then cycled wearily home. Ended up walking the last bit because my bike kept slipping out of gear.
The only 'crafting' I did today was cutting lengths of elastic so I can get back to finishing the rest of the spiders, but that was after I spent some time out in the garden, breaking up dry twigs for kindling. The weather has been glorious the last few days, but tomorrow the temperature is due to start dropping and there might be rain. Monday there are storms forecast, so it looks like the mini summer we've been having is coming to an end. Wish it could have stayed so hot and sunny for a few more weeks, maybe right up to November...

Still causing massive swelling to my neck, but the consultation appointment is next Wednesday, which is the first step towards dealing with it. I'm just trying to distract myself from the discomfort.
I've sorted all the peel-off stickers I got, so I'll be able to give you some idea of what there are soon. I have quite a few sheets of Handmade By in both gold and silver, for a start. Also Christening / Baptism. I guess a lot of what I got were just the ones that didn't sell too well. I have a ton of 18th and 21st birthday ones, but I guess I can at least use the birthday part. *shrugs*

Going to start crossing my fingers for the dentist now.

I'm very well-stocked, provided the magpies don't get too greedy.

Tonight I started making a wool trivet. I haven't made one of these in a while.

I still miss American craft stores, though. The yarn here is mostly either for knitting (high quality sock weight wool, etc) or amigurumi (sport weight cotton or sometimes acrylic) and I like making big ugly blankets with cheap DK - not really a thing here. I'll probably have to order from Hobbii.com once I get settled in.

Yay for local craft store, but it's a shame they don't stock the yarn you prefer for blanket making. I hope you can get some online.
