Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I was crazy impulsive today. After hanging laundry out, I decided to drive to the hardware store that's closing down and get some more food for the wild birds at a reduced price, so I grabbed another tub of suet pellets, a tub of suet balls, a few smaller items, and a massive 12.75kg bag of wild bird seed (the last one they had. After that, I hauled the ten ton load back to the car, nipped to get some more Halloween candy, and came home.


Then this afternoon, unable to resist the temptation of the black velvet I bought yesterday, I had a trial run on fuzzy spiders. I made 4 and I think they turned out pretty well. See for yourselves...

Thanks! It's not the easiest fabric to work with, it's a bit stretchy, slippery, and tends to curl at the edges, but fuzzy spiders feel quite nice =)

Also, HAHAHA! I put laundry out, then CYCLED to the shops *headdesk* But the craft shop that's closing down is selling DMC embroidery threads for only £1.12 per skein instead of £1.40. How could I resist?

Yesterday at Stitch Club, I divided for the armholes on my hooded sweater. I was a little concerned it was coming out too big, as my row gauge is off, but I had stopped the raglans a few rows early so it turned out that when I measured my work against a hoodie I own and love, it was PERFECT. So today I did the first row of the post-division.

I had kinda hoped to have this done by my birthday on the 15th, but that's not going to happen. Instead, it'll be one of my projects for communal_creators.

Yay that it's working out the perfect size! Shame you won't have it done by your birthday, but hopefully it will be finished soon after.

No crafting today, and there were some setbacks throughout the day, but I was able to get another skein of yarn for the drop stitch shawl and for the full sized baby blanket, and the loveseat is gone!
