Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I stabbed the fingers of my other hand this time, but thankfully didn't draw blood. The spider I was working on at the time was mostly white. That would not have been good.

Spoiler: it was not a good month, hence me not being around here much in August.

But hey, it's a new month, and the chance to do better. I have Big Plans for this month, including finishing my hoodie by my birthday on the 15th. Gonna settle down and work on it in a bit.

Sorry you've ben having such a rough month. Times like that, it's often easier to fall back on something distracting (like your games) to take your mind off life. And even though you only completed one project, sounds like you still got a fair bit of crafting done, so kudos for that!

Good luck with your big plans, and with the blanket if you decide to tackle that, it's certainly a big project! Let's hope September is a better month for you in all respects.

Originally, I wanted to do as many of the identical trees in the songbook as possible. But my fingers rebelled. They didn't want to stitch through multiple layers of hard felt and double-sided tape - or Velcro, for that matter - two days in a row. So I made the front cover of the songbook instead, and I must say I'm very content with the results. Pic coming up as soon as I have the right illumination for the iPad mini.

I also selected materials for the next batch of little purses, in case I'll need some distraction from the 'heavy' stitching in the next couple of weeks. ;))

Owie! Yes, sometimes you just have to take a break from the more painful work. Glad you're pleased with the front cover at least.

Good idea, then you can take breaks whenever you need to and do something a bit easier.

Taking a break to do something else in between those sessions is best. I have stopped trying to do sanding 2 days in a row mostly. Ugh.

Two more rows on the cover-up; debating trying to do more but when my attention's divided it's more difficult so I might be done for the night. We'll see!

I miss having the space for hobbies! At the moment the table I journal at and do many other hobbies at is full of glassware (since a shelf in a cabinet of mine decided to tilt and stuff fell off it). The same is true for a lot of the floor space. The room also now houses a new, but yet un-built cabinet. I look forward to getting my living room back in order. First thing on the agenda, catch up on journaling.

Today I did more gardening and more sanding. You'd think I'd be done with the sanding by now but the ancient paint is just so stubborn.

Need to have some supper and then will work on either crochet scrubbies or a scrap project, as neither require me to use brains.

I'm under the weather once again. I think it's just stress though (and excitement). There is a lot happening this month.

Crafting wise, I knitted a few rows on the drop knit shawl and made a copy of the hat pattern I'm thinking about working on.
