Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Another 40 spiders attached to their rings. That's the first hundred done, yay!


I managed to stab my fingers twice, deep enough to draw blood both times, which was less than fun, but I managed not to get any blood on the spiders.

It wouldn't have been so bad if I didn't need such a sharp needle to get through the stuffed spider bodies. It's lethal!

I've posted some pictures of the recently finished projects over on my LJ, in case anyone is interested.

Meanwhile, I've started on the second, mainly identical songbook that goes to a different recipient, of course. All 7 sets of cloud-and-sun combo are now firmly stitched on. I can attack the trees tomorrow.

They all look good! I will always like unicorn fabric.

Not exactly my thing, TBH, but the recipients seem to like it, so I'm trying to use up all the rests as soon as possible.

I have seen! everything looks lovely. I still really like the unicorn fabric. Can't go wrong with rainbow coloured unicorns.

I've been working on laundry backlog and doing weeding off and on today. Also tried picking some flower seeds to plant next year.

Now I've had a shower and will settle down with a book. I was going to crochet but my hands are tired from weeding.

I did 2 rows on the drop stitch shawl and suddenly remembered I had a fic due that I hadn't started yet. I am very happy to say that I wrote the fic and got it posted to AO3 and the story_works comm with 2 hours to spare on the deadline. Go me.

Woohoo, well done! I never seem to get anything done for story_works. Last week was all about the fan_flashworks amnesty, and today I'm hoping to finish something very adult for BBTP.

Yay for getting some crafting done as well.

Thanks. I always forget about story_works and they're one of the few places I play that don't do amnesty (or very rarely anyway) so it's extra satisfying I got something done.

I did! I mean, it was really last minute, didn't write it until yesterday, but it's done and posted so I'm happy =)

I always make a note of the story_works challenge, but it gets lost in the shuffle.

Their generally long deadlines are a blessing and a curse that way. I wish they would do a regular annual amnesty, like they did a few years back.

I did! I dusted off something I started in 2018 and added another 1300+ words.

You could always contact the mods and ask. You never know!
