Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Another batch of rings crocheted around and matched to spiders. I think I have 28 still to do, and then I'll have to dig out my shirring elastic, make sure it hasn't perished, and start attaching the spider to their rings.

That is still a lot of work. How's the tooth doing?

Indeed it is.

The tooth is still quietly festering. Not much I can do for now except hope the swelling doesn't get worse.

Yay, progress! The end is in sight?

Um... maybe? I might not get them all on elastic before Halloween, but if I can manage 150, that should be plenty.

Crafting-wise the good news is that I've finally finished the front cover of the felt songbook. It was an ungodly task, for reasons I can't explain because my English vocabulary doesn't cover the necessary details. The bad news is that I'll have to master the same task for the back cover. And then I'll still have to bind the book, so... I hope our music teacher isn't planning to start teaching in the 1st-term classes with this particular song. Because I can't guarantee that I'll be done by the 1st of September.

Yay for doing the front cover! Isn't the back cover going to be at least slightly easier, now that you've done it once?

Not really. It is the amount of work and the layers of hard felt and double-sided tape I have to stitch through that make it really difficult.

Well, difficult though it was, at least that part's finished and maybe you've learned a few things that will help when you do the back. Good luck with that and the binding.

I've figured out the method right at the beginning. But stitching through so many layers is hard on the fingers.

Ah yes, the struggle to force the needle through and pull it out the other side >.< .

Over the past few days, I've worked on the unicorn's body.
I have four rows left, but they're the ones with the most decreases and I stopped tonight after having to redo almost a whole row because of my frustrating habit to add an increase right after a decrease.

Yesterday was the drive back home, so I also did a round on the C2C tryout.

Finished the quilting. Would have gotten the binding on, but discovered I didn't have enough ready-made binding, so I had to wait until this morning to retrieve the bolt of fabric to make more binding.

How annoying for you! Whenever there's a deadline, obstacles always seem to get tossed in the way, slowing progress.

But yay for finishing the quilting!
