Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I've finished the Valentine stitching! Now I just have to turn it into a card. It won't be very elaborate, there's not much time and I can't find half my cardmaking stuff, but I'll do what I can.

Thanks! It's not as neat as it should be, but it was a bit of a rush job *grins* As long as nobody looks at it too closely it should hold up.

I think it's taken a week, not too bad.

It takes me longer than that to think about starting and looking at all the pieces laid out on the table... haha!

Well, cross stitch - square of aida fabric, a few colours of embroidery thread, needle, scissors, open magazine to the right page and start stitching. That's way simpler than the kinds of project you work on!

Mostly I sew, so that's a running stitch. And I'm so very slow.

I'd be even slower, I hate regular sewing.

I did knit the last whale flipper quickly so I didn't run out of wool (although that may be because I'd knotted the wool half way through so I could see whether the first flipper would work! And I'm starting to sew her up - I've stitched eyes and mouth, so if nothing else, she'll be a smiley whale.

And I'm half way through my cross stitch.

Yay for smiley whale! At least with two flippers she won't be swimming around in circles =D

Wow, halfway already, even working on a navy background! You're speeding along!

Me too! I often lack the skills to make them myself though.. Happily I'm in a network of amazing traditional craftsmen and women who will make things if you pay them! :)
