Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Everything continues to conspire against me. Now my neighbour who drives me places has injured his leg and can't drive, so even if I could get an appointment with the emergency dentist I can't get there. I'll start phoning around local; dentists tomorrow, see if I can find one that does sedation and how much it would cost.


On top of that, something's gone wrong with one of my toes and it hurts to walk.


I've matched more spiders to rings, and crocheted around more rings.

It's just the same as when I was trying to get my chimney re-lined a couple of years ago and everyone I contacted said they couldn't help. Everything I try, I just run in to another brick wall.

Well, that sucks, big time. Especially when your health is threatened.

That's the reality of what this government has done to the NHS. Waiting lists are endless and no one can get the treatment they need.

Affordable would be good too... It's going to be traumatic enough without a huge bill.

We spent the afternoon in front of the telly, watching the World Athletics Championship and biting our nails for our athletes. A good thing that I did my crafting in the morning, right after I had taken Mum for a very short walk (since it's ungodly hot again). The front cover of the songbook is now finished, all that's left is to stitch it to Page One. Phew!

I love athletics. Practically the only sport I can watch for a considerable amount of time. I used to like figure skating, too, but after a while I lost interest.

I still like watching ice skating sometimes, and downhill skiing because it makes me feel like I'm flying.

My days tend to be rather full - with small, insignificant tasks that nonetheless swallow all my time.

Very hot here. I've gone out in the early mornings to get some yard stuff accomplished.

I've made no headway on the sanding/wood trim rehab project. Finally decided what I had to do was just take the upper trim down for easier access, so I did that today.

I imagine sanding will be easier now you don't have to reach up to do it.

That NEVER happens, in my experience. It's always a sudden brainwave after you've tried everything else first.

Poor you. I can relate. The only time I can do any decent work are the early mornings, too. By 10am we're already cooking in our own juices. *sigh*

More quilting. Slower than I'd like. But I don't have much to do today so I should probably do a bit more quilting. Patch by patch.
