Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

No crafting done today. It's been very stressful trying to get an emergency dentist appointment. I've been trying to find somewhere for almost a week, but all the advice I was given was wrong, or out of date. Finally got seen this afternoon and at least I now have antibiotics, which will hopefully help.

That sounds absolutely awful, I'm so sorry. Glad you have antibiotics now, and I hope they do the trick ♥

Thanks. No one's taking NHS patients these days and because I have a severe dental phobia I don't have a dentist. My neighbour kindly drove me to the other side of town because I couldn't have got there otherwise. The one-way system is so confusing and there's nowhere to park these days.

If it is any consolation, I didn't get any crafting done, either. Of course, I hadn't expected to, with the bi-weekly cleaning frenzy taking place today. (Is "taking place" the right expression? English confuses the living daylight out of me, and then I mix it up with German, especially when I'm tired...)

Yes, taking place is correct, or you can just say 'happening' instead. Feel free to ask about any English phrasing you're not sure of. I'll always try my best to help. English is a confusing language. Sorry you didn't get any crafting time either.

Well, that was to be expected, with a day like this. Thanks for the offer, I seriously doubt that I'll ever figure out how English works.

They really are, but it shouldn't take a week of being given all the wrong advice and information to get some help. I'm hoping the antibiotics will deal with the swelling, but I only just started a week long course so I'm not seeing any reduction just yet...

Over the weekend, I pulled out the quilt for basting, and set the sandwich up properly, but haven't pinned it.

Need pins first. Gotta go pick up the pins from a friend. It's not quite exec dysfunction, but there's a definite element of "extra steps" to it all...

I had a vertigo attack yesterday morning, which means I spent it in bed, alternatively reading and crocheting. The dinosaur is coming along.

Ugh, how horrible! Hope you're doing better now, but yay for reading and crochet! What colour is your dinosaur?

I still need to be careful going from laying down to sitting up, but otherwise I'm fine. I'm lucky to not get them all that often.
The dinosaur is going to be spring green, with a darkish blue spine.
