My new glasses look great, but they're giving me a headache for some unknown reason =(


Had another difficult spider day. The first one, the thread tangled so badly I had to cut it and start again. I had several other tangles, legs getting caught in stitches, and I dropped a pin, so I was scrambling on the floor again looking for it. Nevertheless I managed to get all 10 done. Only 40 more to go.

Oh no :( I always get headaches for a few days with new glasses, even if the prescription hasn't changed. I'm prone to headaches anyway, though. I hope you feel better soon!

I'm sorry the spiders were difficult today, too.

Normally I don't, so I think something needs adjusting. I have varifocals and for the first time ever, I can't read through the bottom part. They seemed fine at the opticians but now they aren't.

Yeah =( Last time I had new glasses I had zero problems. This time I'm not being so lucky.

The closer I get to the finish line, the more obstacles seem to be popping up. Might not get time for crafting this afternoon thanks to an afternoon doctor's appointment *sigh*

A very crafty day - again

... since the deadlines are looming on the horizon rather threateningly.

Therefore I turned my loving attention to the baby book. As mentioned in my previous entry, I had many of the tags and other embellishments done in advance, so today I started gluing on the patterned background papers to the page bases. I've got as far as five before I had to stop and do housewife-y things. One of the pages is completed (making things in advance has really paid off), 4 others are half-done. Not bad for about an hour and a half of work, if I say so myself!

I'll try to speed up the work on this book, to get as much done as possible before I face the serious problem of binding the felt one. Let's hope things will get together in time. *fingers crossed*

Started the Bluebird banner today, after reminding myself how to do C2C crochet... it'd been long enough that I forgot.

Also scored Nerdopolis for last month, which needed doing so I feel accomplished, haha.

It's easy to forget how to do something if you haven't done it for a while. I have the same problem. Have fun with making the banner!

I had to take a day to recover from my little "vacation", but I'm home and back to knitting on the not-a-baby-blanket. I got about halfway done with it and gave it a really good look. I just wasn't happy with how it was coming out, so instead of adding the next skein of yarn, I frogged it all the way back to the beginning and started over. I've got the top border done and the first 10 rows of the body.
