Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Battling a headache at the moment, but I have 8 spiders done, 2 waiting, and I cut out 20 pairs of spider eyes. Later I will hopefully do some more fluffing of spider feet.

Sorry about the headache; it's so annoying. But perhaps fluffing the spider feet won't be too hard a task.

It's not easy to see what I'm doing, especially with the dark ones, so that hasn't helped my head, and on top of that I've somehow lost a pair of spider legs. Everything is stacked, body, base, 4 twisted cords, each one being a pair of legs. One of the bodies only has three twisted cords with it. I know I made them all, but one has been misplaced. It could be anywhere. *sigh*

I'm doing okay except I've lost a pair of spider legs. They might turn up, but it means that spider will have to wait.

I love them! They're adorable. They also remind me of a cartoon I used to watch when I was very small, but I have no clue what it was called now.

I was able to buy yarn today, and while there was a half a second scare that they didn't have the yarn I am making the shawl with anymore because they rearranged the section, the shawl is back on track again. The row after I joined the new yarn in, I almost royally messed things up, but I managed to fix it without having to rip out and redo two rows. Go me.

(I was also well enough to make it to book club yesterday, even if I got nothing else done.)

In less pleasant news, I ran into the young man who dropped in on fiber group last month, the session I was in charge and was also the only one who showed up for group. Today, he was leaving the grocery store as I was arriving and we ran into each other. He has apparently been asking about me at the library, but they have been telling him they don't know who he's talking about. He wanted clarification on when the next fiber group meeting is. Last session, he expressed an interest in coming to group as he is trying to learn how to embroider and thought coming to group might be motivating. I told him multiple times we don't teach anything, just work on our own projects. He said he understood and that was fine. I didn't think much of it at the time, mostly because at the time it was close to time to leave the room for the next group. I was later told that the library has been having problems with him agressively proselytizing to library patrons. (I had kind of suspected as he kept trying to turn the conversation that way, and I kept steering it back to knitting.) Which, I also wasn't that worried about because it really didn't seem like he was going to show up the next month and by then the library director would be back and it's her group and he's afraid of her. All of that said, I am concerned he has been trying to find out about me specifically. I'm not scared per se, but I'm a little uneasy on how this might play out.
