Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

The TV is very good background for crafting. :)

I got two more done while watching TV. I could have done more, but that was all I had prepared with the eyes cut out and the feet properly fluffed.

Go Spiders! It is rather unusual to feel enthusiastic about something that usually creeps me out, lol! Of course real; spiders are nowhere near as cute...

I did some crafting while watching some crap telly. I cut out and stitched on the little houses for Page #8 of both songbooks, plus stitched on one sun for the book without a deadline. Yeah, I know, stupid, but when I was there already... Six more suns to go, eventually, but both Pages #8 look fairly pretty by now.

I'm glad about it, too. Once all these background pages are finished - at least for the book with the deadline - making the finger puppets will be child's play.

I am always working on the thing with no deadline, if it's logical it's logical. I'm glad you have your houses on!

I really don't like working with deadlines, but this particular book will be needed in the new school term to help teaching 1st-grade children a song in a playful manner, so it ought to be done by September.

Very grumpy about not having got any crafting done this weekend, but my upstairs neighbours were chainsmoking and tobacco triggers my migraines so I spent all weekend fighting a migraine. Yay fun.

However! They did not begin smoking again today until I was just wrapping up my knitting for the day, so there's that. I did do one more run of row 7 on my scrap yarn before doing the actual project; it feels like I'm making such slow progress doing each row multiple times but I'd rather practise it and get it right than have to unravel the actual thing. I'm now through row 12, with a lifeline on row 11, and should, fingers crossed, have time to do more tomorrow.

Yay for positive progress! It's a complex design so the practice is worth it.

Boo for smoking neighbours and migraines. Doesn't sound the best place for you to live =(

Annoyingly, it is not :( But we're stuck here for a while, anyway. Hate that I'm hoping their landlord gets tired of how often we have to complain about them but we're at the point that our landlord is filing environmental health complaints against them (unrelated issue) so. We shall see, I guess.

I worked on my knit bralette. I finally got it to the length I want it at & I'm working on the hem now. I did mark it with stitch markers so I can measure the correct length for any future projects. I do have more of this same yarn in another 2 colors so I may make more. It depends on how this wears.

I also wound one of skiens of yarn that I got for my birthday. It's sock yarn which is lavender with small bits of green and gray. https://www.yarn.com/products/valley-yarns-huntington-splash

Yesterday I also went through my stash & picked out some old yarn and needles to donate to a local community group that was asking for donations. Now all of my yarn & needles fit into one large bin. It's nice to have one place for my knitting.

It's lovely! My parents were very generous with my birthday gift this year. I also got the same yarn in another colorway, the dark gray with Teal, light blue and light gray bits. They also got me the sock knitting kit which came with plain light gray yarn, needles, a pack of stich markers & a sock pattern.

I couldn't resist opening it when I got it early! I'm glad that I'm working with the yarn on my birthday today, even if it's just winding it.

Donating is good. I have one place for my yarn too, but I've got so much it's an entire room... I will use it, I have plans for a lot of it, but it takes time to make things *grins* I did donate a lot a few years ago though, so I only kept what I could see myself using.

I am fairly frugal so I tend to only get yarn on holidays and birthdays. Barring the occasional sale I can't resist, lol.

I filled in more background on my kpop dude today while chatting with a friend. I'm not making as much progress on either him or my guinea pigs as I expected, but really I've just started my vacation. I should chill. :)
