Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

Temperatures have dropped here, it's below 65F out and wet so it feels even colder and I'm fed up. So much for summer.


I have assembled 5 more spiders though, and I've pinned the eyes to the rest of them. Hoping to sew some of them on in a bit.

Depressingly little crafting got done today. I added some waves to two water surfaces, in the form of picot edge. Exactly one row of stitches and a half. But those stitches were made through three layers of felt, a layer of double-sided tape and the picot edge, so I think I was suitably heroic, especially after the visit at the dentist's.

Tomorrow will mark the start of the new picowrimo session, which means crafting will be put on the back burner for a while. I really, really need to get back into writing! The plan is to work on Timescapes, my Primeval/Whoniverse crossover with Mycroft Holmes added for some spice. I got stuck with that one last time because I was getting doubts about my idea of the next chapter, but I think I might have found a solution. We'll see. *fingers crossed*

Successfully conquered row 3 on the beach cover-up, and moved on to complete through row 6. Row 7's got another new stitch, so I was practising on scrap yarn for a fair bit today until I got the hang of it. I'll probably practise a bit more before actually getting going on row 7 tomorrow, though, just to be safe 😂

That sounds like a good method of learning with all the different stitches. It's worth the extra effort to get to grips with each stitch first.

I finally go done ripping out the hem of my knitted bralette so that I can lengthen it. I'm so glad to be knitting on it.

I also have a take along project of some fingerless gloves out of some scraps. I finished the first one and I am well into the second one.

I've been working on both my embroidery pieces today, and I'm waiting for my next amigurimi kit to come! It's Pac-Man themed, I'm super excited.

6 out of 8 Grishaverse books read 🙈 I have done ~6 or 7 new squares on the Sockening scrap yarn blanket, though, so that is something. No new rows on the latest sock on the needles.

I got really frustrated with my knitting yesterday. It was time to do a stitch check, (to see how many I had increased to), and on the plus side, I'm a lot closer to finishing than I thought. I only have 25 more rows left of this section, then 3 more to do the finishing bit, but if my math is right, I'm going to be two stitches off. For this pattern, it really doesn't matter. It looks like it's going to be the right size and I don't have to sew it or match it to anything. What is really driving me crazy though is I can't figure out how I am two stitches off. I hit all the stitch numbers in the pattern when it had you check them and I can't see anywhere that looks like I dropped a stitch and all the parts that are supposed to line up, line up. So, I don't know, I'm just trying to trust the process.

Then, when I was measuring to see if it was also on track that way, the cap popped off my needle and 6 stitches went with it. I think I got them all back on right, but one looks off some how and I have no clue how to fix it. At this point, I am just hoping it will blend it well enough when it's done to not be noticeable.

Today, I just kinda glared at it, but I still made a 10 months of knitting post on Instagram.

I also got the Winterfest in July post up at allbingo, officially opening our 10th round. I can't believe I have been co-hosting it that long.
