Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Haven't been feeling great today, but I wanted to play with my Cuttlebug anyway, so I got it out and did some cutting. It's the first time I've really used it though, and I'm probably doing things wrong as there are no instructions. So, does anyone have any experience using a Cuttlebug? Because I have questions...

Sadly, not really. But I won't let myself be beaten.

As you all know, I've finished my textile book that contained barn animal finger puppets . Our conductor was very happy with it... until she discovered that the turkey was missing.

Now, if she wants a turkey, I'll give her one. I looked up on Google what they birds are supposed to look - the last time I saw one for real was when I was, ah, seven or so years old. So yeah, apparently the beasts are supposed to be black, with a bit of white and a red neck. So I made this:



Still not very turkey-ish, but at least it doesn't look like a duck that has fallen through the chimney, right?

And since I was working with black felt already (to the great displeasure of my poor old eyes), I started on the next book, for another song. It starts with three crows, so three crows I was about to make. Well, I've cut out their general shapes, sewn on the beaks and the eyes, and one even has his wings.

This means, no work on the baby book today, but that's okay. I needed a change anyway.

Poor missing turkey! He looks cute though.

I love the idea of the crows too, as I'm very fond of crows and similar birds.

It can be good to have a change.

Been a rough few days but I finished the plushie's scarf today. It got all twisty so I'm going to block it before calling it done!

I did a little knitting at the laundromat and worked on taking out the hem of my bralette at home.

I also chatted with my dad about what I want for my birthday. I'm getting a sock knitting kit & maybe some extra yarn. (My family likes specific directions when asked what do you want for x gift)

Knitting is a great way to make use of time spent waiting.

It's good to know exactly what you want, then the gift-giver knows you'll be happy with it =D

I used to craft a lot in waiting rooms, but recently I've stuck to reading. Blame the pandemic for that.

Reading is my other waiting past time. The pandemic made me switch to ebooks almost completely.

I still like paper books. It doesn't feel right when I don't have actual pages to turn.

In crocheting, I finally got my friend's fingerless gloves to go with her scarf done! GO Me! And I made 21 experimental cotton Swiffer duster pads and they work pretty well.
