Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

No spider legs made today. Instead I got out the rest of the bodies I had already cut, all 64 of them, and hand cut the felt bases for them. They're not exactly circular, but they'll have to do. Then I got out the cut lengths of yarn left over from my miscalculations and matched them up with the spider bodies and bases. Now I can just get on with making the legs, or maybe even start sewing some of the spiders together... We'll see, not tonight though.

Exactly circular probably not needed. Only the more venomous ones here tend to be circular. :D

The bases are really just to keep the legs spread out and to hide other stitching so they should be fine.

You foresee correctly! There might be several with the same fabric some their bodies, but the legs will be different.

Working on a final dishcloth (I had a bag that was all small skeins of one color) and then will start one of the projects under consideration.

This morning I spent a lot of time cutting saplings out of the hedge. Mulberries, elms, hardy hibiscus. I made my brother help me, because wrestling with the hedge to cut the sapling, then applying brush killer (it has a screw top and a silly little applicator) takes more than 2 hands.

I'm making beef stroganoff tonight. We are going to try having it over steamed broccoli instead of noodles or rice.

Stroganoff with broccoli sounds like an interesting combination. But you've deserved something yummy after all that hard work.

Crafting was very successful today. Granted, I only made one new tag, but that tag had fifteen(!) different parts that needed to be drawn, cut out, glued on and decorated individually. It also turned out great, so I'm very satisfied with the outcome. So satisfied that I decided to be lazy for the rest of the day. ;)

That's a very complicated tag! So glad it turned out so well. All the effort you put into it was rewarded.

If you consider that all those crafty ladies on YouTube have these tags ready-made in themed paper packs, you become serious doubts that all the effort is really worth it. But I enjoyed the process, so it's okay.

youtubers have it easy. We can't all afford the fancy ready-made embellishments. As long as you enjoyed the creativity and are happy with the result, that's what matters.

Yeah, I had cramps in my fingers and was seeing nonexisting things by the end. *g*

The most work was related to the small cardboard rattle I had to make as an embellishment for the tag. Such tiny details - and my sausage fingers. But I'm very satisfied with the outcome.

I applied to be in one of the two art shows this summer! Even though they've never turned anyone away I am still super nerve-wracked about it.

I finished the 2nd strap of my bralette top that I've been working on. I need to add more length to it since I didn't make it long enough. I'm undoing the cast on & am going to tink back the bottom rib section and then add more length to the main body.

Sounds like you have it all worked out! Keep note of your adjustments in case you want to make yourself another one.

I definitely will. Taking the bottom rib section out is such a pain that I'm still doing it. Plus I think I have enough yarn in another color to make a second one. So I will be sure to make the body longer on the next one.

It's good to learn as you go. Hope undoing the rib won't take too much longer.
