Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Is that 10 rows on one or both?

Realised to my horror that my cross stitch requires French knots. Decided I'd just do cross stitch, since it may not look quite as intended but will look much better than poor French knots.

Oh I hate it when that happens. All set, and then BAM! You need to do that thing that you hate. I'm sure just cross stitch will be great!

It was an unpleasant surprise. It won't have quite the same effect but it should be okay.

Experience in the past has never given me that hope!

I wish I could help you out with your French knots! I candelwicked the back of a patchwork cushion when I was 12 so I learnt to do them using thick embroidery thread. I didn't do them for years afterwards, but like you, I had a cross stitch of a white tiger crashing through the snow, so yeah, you guessed it, about two hundred white French knots to finish it off! They don't scare me! :)

Yeah, what's the deal with three quarter stitches when there's no hole?? I think I only ever saw them in one kit I did and never again! Half or full or not at all!

Looking at it now, I don't think it's going to matter too much. I'm no perfectionist, and I've just realised a couple of other stitches are in the wrong place, but it won't make much difference overall, so I'm not going to worry.

I finally got the both sleeves stitched on the blue silk gown and now all I need is a decent photo of it on me. About to start the next terrifying craft project.. the belt mounts..

I've had mixed success with brass posts before and these are made by someone overseas and so beautiful. I don't want to wreck them!

I have all my pattern pieces cut out... but I'm just not feeling it. Maybe tomorrow.
