Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: No question today.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

If you still want the rant (which is not as ranty as I had expected): https://spiralicious.dreamwidth.org/473230.html

But I found a recipe on a private blog where everything was given in metric, and someone complained why they were using it. Why indeed, when the rest of the world does it, too, except certain countries. *g* The blogger then graciously added the measures in cups, etc., too, which then pissed off the other commenters - not against the blogger, but against the one who demanded the addition. *facepalm*

*Facepalm* I wish commenters like the person who initially complained were less common. I bet they weren't even grateful when the blogger added in the converted measurements.

So I've been working on that the past few days. I hit a snag today though. It's crocheted, and somehow I didn't complete a stitch all the way, and when I got back to it in a subsequent row it started unraveling. IN CROCHET. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN? I've only managed to do this trick once before, so I'm confuzzled. I couldn't figure out how to fix it without ripping back two rows and redoing it. I've done the frogging part, but I was too frustrated to redo, so that's a project for tomorrow.
I'm annoyed because I was just about to split for the armholes (it's top-down). Two rows is about an hour of work, so really: GAH!!!!!

It's also weirdly impressive.
I hope it goes more smoothly going forward.

Hope when you start crocheting your cardigan again you'll have better luck and make speedier progress.

With it being Star Wars Day, I was going to finish painting my baby Yoda figure that's been sitting unfinished on my desk for about 2 years, but I never got that far. It's thankfully not sticky anymore at least.
For anyone still wanting it, Americans and the metric system rant: https://spiralicious.dreamwidth.org/473230.html

Sorry to hear about poor Yoda not getting finished.
I shall check out your rant *grins*

Yeah, he's sitting there staring at me like, "but why?"
Thanks. I hope it's at least interesting.
