Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Had another hour and a half in the garden, pulling weeds and collecting dead twigs for the fire while they're dry. We're due rain again on Friday so I only have one more day to enjoy being outside.

The weather has been so unpredictable during the recent years, hasn't it? At least you've managed to squeeze in a good amount of work between two bouts of rain.

Last spring was incredibly dry, and this year its rain all the time.

Yoyo weather *sighs* Could be 7C at the start of next week, just when I thought we were finally starting to get warmer weather.

Today I finally brought up some energy for crafting. The Hello Kitty booklets now have an almost complete kitchen, with a pink fridge, sink and cupboard. All I'll have to add is the table. Then all rooms will be done, save for some small embellishments, and I can try putting the things together. *fingers crossed*

Busy, busy day, but I had time for a few rows on the rainbow scarf! I think I can finish before we move (a week from today) but even if I don't, I'll have two weeks afterwards to finish and block.

Especially since our movers cancelled on us this morning! It's been quite the ordeal.

No progress today on my crochet project, as my blocked motifs are still drying (100% cotton taking a long time to dry after wet blocking?? Who could have foreseen this?? 😂).

I'm not too worried though, because I am under less time pressure than I initially thought when I was crunching over Saturday-Monday.

It's one reason I don't use cotton yarn. They will dry in their own sweet time, and probably be better for the slow dry. Like they've spent time at a spa 😜

It does take 5ever to dry, but I guess the trade off is that cotton responds really well to blocking. I don't regret wet blocking, because I do have the time and I think it's worth it to make it as nice as possible and I don't think misting or steaming would have given as good of a result.

You know what works best with the yarn you used. Knowledge and experience pay off, even if it takes a little longer.

I have finished the flap of the bag, and started on the strap, so it continues to go well!

I am beginning to worry about my other planned projects, though. I intended to knit a cabled hat for a Nerdopolis challenge, but it's already the 19th and time is ticking. I don't think I'll have time to finish the bag AND do the hat, so instead I am going to weave a coaster for the challenge, which is to make something inspired by fiber arts in games. Final Fantasy XIV has a weaver's guild! So weaving something would totally count.

I also want to make some Cube Things, and hoped to get enough done to give away to my students on their last day of tutoring. I think I might have to settle for just getting one done this month, and doing the rest next month. We'll see how things go.

The woven coaster sounds a good substitute, maybe you can make the hat some other time.
