Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Hail! Sounds like you really had some weather. Well done on sorting the books, though!

Oh great. Hail.

Watching the hail bounce can be an entertaining pastime.

I've worked a bit on the Hello Kitty booklets and nearly ruined my motif puncher, trying to punch out circles from the foil in which they sell ground coffee. The puncher is supposed to cut tinfoil without problems, but I didn't know that the dratted foil had a layer of plastic, which wrapped itself around... something inside the puncher and nearly killed it for good. I've managed to repair it with the help a pocket knife, a paper cutter, two different sets of tweezers and my teeth (I kid you not!), but it probably won't work as well as before, so I'll have to be careful with it. Still, having brought it back to semi-working order saved me the cost of buying a new one, and these things are not cheap over here.

I've also delivered all three baby books, plus the gardener book for my friend, so I call this a successful day, despite the fact that very little actual crafting was done. Just cutting out the bath-tubs for Kitty. Five times. I wanted to make the mirrors, too, but the puncher disaster interfered.

Oh no, what a nightmare :( I'm glad you were able to save the motif puncher!

Your poor puncher! I'm glad you were able to save it (they are not cheap indeed).

Glad the deliveries were successful

(I changed my username! I used to be littleleotas.)

I've done a few more rows on the rainbow scarf and am going to keep working on it for the rest of the evening!

Haha, I was surprised when a comment from a presumably unknown person showed up in my inbox. *g*

Haha glad you pointed that out. Happy rainbowing.

Well, sick again. This time it is strep throat.

I started a dishcloth but the trip to the clinic wore me out. I may just go back to reading.

Oh, and my baby rosebushes arrived a bit ago! They look a little bashed about from shipping but should perk up soon.

Strep is awful, I hope you heal quickly. Totally understandable to be worn out from the clinic trip.

Yay for the roses, though!

Poor you, I hope you'll recover, soon. Reading is good in such times.

Sorry to hear you're sick. Strep is no fun at all.

Hurray for baby rose bushes though!

Hope you feel better soon

Feeling relatively better today and it's normally cleaning day, but I decided to save my energy for tomorrow, since it's weekly shopping and also discount day.

Finished the first not-a-baby-blanket. It's about the size of the Barbie equivalent of a California King sized bed, maybe slightly larger.

Saving your energy sounds like a wise call.

Congrats on finishing the blanket! Something that big is definitely an achievement.

Sounds like a cute little blanket. :)
And saving energy is good. The dust won't go anywhere (unfortunately) if you ignore it a little longer.
