Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

At least you've achieved something, despite the miserable weather.

Well done, despite the rain!

Sounds like a day suited for indoor activities. Good luck with the neck shaping.

Excellent work

Gardening! I look forward to it, but it is still too cold here and the ground frost has not yet let go :( I did take some cuttings of green indoor plants yesterday, that will have to do until we have more days of warmth.

I had vague thoughts of what I was going to do today, but in the end, since the weather was rotten I decided to spend some time (longer than usual) cross stitching, which at least felt productive and I could ignore the colour of the sky.

Cross stitching sounds like a lovely way to spend a rainy day.

It's a good thing that you had at least enough light to stitch.

How is the weather today? Still something that needs ignoring? We have a mix of rain/sleet and I have to really push myself to go for a walk. But in any case, first, a late breakfast :)

What kind of pattern are you cross stitching now?

Rough day but I got a few rows in.
Wednesday, April 5th, 2023 07:56 pm (UTC)
I'm sorry to hear that, but glad you managed a little.

On rough days a few rows count doubly.

Sorry it was a rough day. Hurray for rows though.

In the morning I've managed to do a bit of crafting, even though it was somewhat chaotic; not a rare occasion in our house. I added the last embellishments to two of the three baby books, which now count as finished - unless I get another idea, which I hopefully won't. I want to be done with this project ASAP.

That's really good!

Nothing for me today. The last few days were a bit of a blur.

Monday, I did my crafting session with Lynn; she worked on an old smash book and I worked on my altered book. (I made tiny unconventional affirmation signs.) Overall, things went fine. But that night, I got really sick.

Yesterday, I was basically recovering and I got a little knitting done one the not-a- baby blanket.

Today, I washed the couch cover and declared that my accomplishment for the day.

Sounds like a good accomplishment. Hope you feel better soon.

I have not been very creative lately, sans some blackout-poetry, but yesterday evening I tried my hand at making something out of air-drying-clay. A fun experience, which I will work more on in the coming weeks.

That sounds like it would be great fun. I look forward to seeing photos!
