Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I had intended to get on with the back of my sweater today, but my back and arms still hurt from yesterday's trip into town, so I'm giving it a miss. I can get back to knitting tomorrow when I'll hopefully be less sore.

They do. Going out is hard enough for me, but lugging heavy bags of shopping really does me in. It usually takes me a few days to recover which is why I don't go out often.

That's true. Yesterday was beyond exhausting, and I always suffer after going out.

I added some more embellishments to the basically finished baby books (all three of them), because such presents can never be pretty enough. And I made some more finger puppets. 6 of the required 10 are now done: the pig, the lamb, the horse, the goat, the goose and the duck. There will be a group photo when I'm done.

Sounds like a whole barnyard already! What puppets are left to do?

The hen, the chicken and the rooster. The song is the Hungarian equivalent of "Old McDonald's Farm", with the protagonist telling how he/she went to the market with a half-coin and bought various animals. The sounds the animals make are then imitated at the end of each verse... it is great fun.

Just about doubled what I've already done on the rainbow scarf thus far. Trying to decide if I want to take it with me on the train tomorrow, or if I want to commit to finishing the book I'm reading.

Ooh, tough decision. I'd take both, but that's just me. I like to be prepared for every possibility.

I am also a "both" person, though to be honest I take both and then fall asleep. Whereas if I take neither, I am super bored the whole time. Brains.

Which is why it is better to take them both. That way at least the sleeping is ensured. *g*

I once again have a cold. My husband kept claiming he wasn't sick (despite headache, sore, tired, sneezing) but he was the source. Somewhat better today. Cooked chili which I actually felt like eating.

Might get to the baby blanket soon. The headache is either gone or under control of Tylenol.

Sucks that you're getting so many colds. Hope this is the last one you'll suffer this winter / spring.

You need more than a little break between. Winter can be a miserable time for colds.

I bought two different kinds of beads to try on the asteroid belt, as well as backing felt. ...and yarn, cough cough. Did some crochet just to keep my hands busy while hanging out with family!

Hope at least one kind of bead works.

Yarn sneaks into shopping bags when you're not looking, and once it's there you can't put it back.

Keeping hands busy keeps them out of trouble.

Two things worked on today:

1. I picked up a needle felting kit at the store yesterday, so I started that today. It's a mountain sunset scene. Pretty!

2. I started crocheting an amigurumi that is going to be a baby shower gift, at the request of mom, who will be paying me for doing so.
