We had our usual cleaning frenzy today, which I deeply hate but cannot avoid, unfortunately. I revenged myself by cutting out half the finger puppet bases for Monica's educational textile book and making a cheesecake later, to give myself a treat. After all that paper misery I really needed something else today. Even if it meant starting yet another project before finishing the previous ones. Yes, I know I am slightly mad.

Sometimes taking a brief break to work on something different really helps.

I do that with writing too, snap and start something new! (I just did last week, in fact.)

I restarted the baby blanket with a larger hook, just wasn't happy (too stuff).

Made bread today for fun. Happy first day of spring!

Sounds like a sensible decision. Stiff blankets just aren't snuggly.

The solar system project is done. Still needs all the finishing work (it badly needs to not only be ironed but lint rolled, thanks, cat) but the stitching is done, including 107 French knots!

I worked on a second swatch for a bralette I'm starting.

I finished knitting my scarf & sewed in the ends. I still need to block it but I'm waiting fir both warmer weather & the weekend for that.

How and why is it the 20th? Happy Spring.

Today, I went to Lynn's and we did another of her subscription boxes. It was sets of beach themed mini cards. While their size perplexed her, Lynn very much enjoyed the beach theme and the cards were surprisingly easy to assemble. Things went better than they have in awhile.

I had other plans for today, but that was all I had energy for.

We did finally get all the plants that had been sheltering from the cold in our bathroom back outside, since the warmer (50s F) weather had been holding, finally, but it's going back to freezing all weekend.
