Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I feel more like I'm creeping along because it took 6 days to do the first sleeve and I've already been working on this one for a week, with another two days to go.

I am off for a WEEK between jobs, the luxury, and will be stitching up a storm! Yesterday I worked on both embroidery and crochet, and today I've been embroidering during phone calls. I'm close to halfway done with Pluto on my solar system project and then it's just ("just") the French knot asteroid belt!

Fortunately I am the weirdo who enjoys French knots. But even for me, this is a loooooot. I think they should be at least two different colors, too, hm...

I don't mind doing them, but it's a case of quantity. For an asteroid belt, I'm imagining there will have to be quite a lot.

I think you're right about the colours. All one colour would be too same-y.

I had so many chores today it wasn't even funny! But I squeezed in a tiny bit of crafting as well.

I've applied the arched windows in all five Hello Kitty bedrooms, together with the curtains - and realized that the nice, round carpets I had made in advance will be way too large. So I'll have to redo them, in a smaller size. The already existing ones will be recycled as slightly bizarre sunflowers on some future cards or whatnot. Nothing gets wasted in this household.

Ah well, at least you can use the carpets elsewhere. You've still done really well today in what time you could spare for crafting.

I think I'll make a gardening book for my friend Evie, in which she can jut down the ideas she learns all over the place. The "sunflowers" will probably go onto the front cover. We'll see.

I've ordered yarn to make scarves for friends I have visiting me this year, one in May and one in November. I'll be grateful to have something to keep my hands busy again!

Back in the Stone Age when I first learned to knit (which I've managed to forget since then), all my stitches were mistake ones. ;))

For the easy mistake stitch scarf, I'm going with this:



The friend it's for is a very colourful person and this colour combo just sings to me of xyr.

I'm going with a deep red for the infinity scarf. I'm actually going to make three scarves - the friend who's getting the infinity scarf has a companion stuffed animal that I'm going to make a teeny tiny scarf for, and the deep red will suit him beautifully. My friend will love having a matching scarf with him and the red will work well for her comfy, classic style, I think.

Oooh, rainbow yarn, that looks great! Deep red is gorgeous too, and I love that you're making a mini scarf for the companion stuffie! I'm sure he'll look very smart in it.
