Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Well, I've managed another 12 rows on the sleeve. My arms still ache from lugging logs and coal so I don't want to push myself too hard.

I'm not surprised you are so sore. :( At least you felt up to some knitting.

It means I'm now 30 rows into the first pattern repeat in 4 days *headdesk* That's really slow for me.

It is sensible to be careful. Good progress nonetheless.

Not really good progress. 4 days to get just 30 rows into the sleeve pattern. I'm crawling along at a snail's pace, but I can only manage so much when my arms and hands still hurt.

But you are making this sweater for yourself, so it doesn't really matter if it takes a bit longer, does it?

Not really, but there are others I want to make, and soon it will be gardening weather and I won't have much time for knitting. I wanted this one done before the end of March and the rate I'm going, I won't even have the second sleeve done by then. Still have to finish the back and make the front.

Yeah, I both want it to be warmer for outdoor projects AND don't want it to be because I am still chipping away at inside stuff.

Too much we either need to do or want to do, and not enough time.

I finished the Tunisian knit stitch pouch for my Tunisian hooks - made a chain stitch strap and added a couple buttons to hold it closed.



Now I want to start working on a porch decoration to replace the stars I made in December. I want to do tulips, but can't find a pattern I like. May need to make one up. Or think of something else.

I put it on the bookcase instead of in the tool box, because I wanted to look at it a few days. Maybe it should live there and I'll think to use them more.

Mum volunteered to make chicken soup and Schnitzel today (no small feat from a 91-year-old!), so I spent the morning crafting. I've made solid progress, too: all Hello Kitty booklets have now their "wallpapers" and "flooring" applied, and I've even made the 5 identical bedroom rugs. Round ones, to use the advantage of my big motif puncher. And that of a smaller one. Yay!

That's great progress, especially after all your days without a lot of craft time.

When you say schnitzel, is this pork? Here it is.

It can be anything, from calf through pork to turkey or chicken. We use chicken breast because it is the softest, so Mum's teeth (the few she still has) can deal with it. *g*

I would prefer chicken for that dish too. It's interesting that here it's become a pork dish.
