Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: What's the weather like where you are?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

That's great that your heat is fixed. The arm warmers sound fun - when do we get to see them?

And yay for new projects!

For me it's either TV or a audio book, lol.

And sometimes the only way to get things watched/finished!

We had snow this morning, which melted, but it's starting to snow again.

My monthly craft post is here with pics of my cross stitch and knitting, including Steggy and Trixie.

It is very very cold here. This morning it was 20F and it felt likes 7 and it didn't much improve through the day.

I'm nearly finished with my cat cross stitch -- just some letters to do so I'm hoping to have it done tonight. I did add some rows to my crochet projects, but not as much as I'd hoped because of work -- the college students moved back in, but are in "isolation" (not) so we're managing the book rush with only five of us. Hopefully after this week I can make more progress.

Very! Am glad for blankets to get through this cold snap.

Picture! I posted it last night before bed:

True true. Slow and steady as I go, lol. Thanks!

Just the one more card made on Friday night. It's been too hot to concentrate on doing much else but a cool change is slowly rolling in. Maybe tomorrow.

Freezing (0C according to my phone) with gentle snow overnight. I have my first vaccination today and fortunately chose a centre on the main road into the city so the gritting lorries should have cleared it.

Finally finished updating the twitter, Tumblr and Instagram I set up to show off the beanie babies. Took me most of the weekend, but it's done and now all I have to do is stay.on top of it. It's not like it's for anyone other than me,but I do get a thrill of seeing those little rows of colourful squares laid out in front of me!

Also created a couple more, including a weird little frog-chicken who came out of the scrap bag and who I was instantly fond of!

(The above is me btw, apologies! Forgot to change accounts when I was done updating!)

Gotta love the irony of me being like, hoorah, I got organised and sorted out all my separate accounts, and promptly bragging g about it while logged into the wrong account!

Not just one, a whole sub-species - so far,.all the beanie I made who used frogs as the base had some element of chicken included, except, ironically, the one I called Chicken precisely because of that reason!
