Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

I and worked a bit on the binding of the baby books. Not much, just measuring and cutting out the cardboard for the inner binding - a complicated task, as the books have different sizes. As hectic as this week is, I still hope to get the binding done. That would be a huge relief.

At least in knitting mistakes are easily fixed by a bit of unpicking. Papercrafts are far less forgiving.

I’ve finished the penultimate square of my blanket and sewed it into place. I intended to cast on the final square, but we’ve had an unexpected cold snap this week and I was substantially warmer under the half of the blanket I was adding the square to, so I decided to sew the two ‘halves’ (it’s more like 2/5 and 3/5) together this evening. So now it’s only got one square and the border to go before it’s done! A cosy AND productive way to spend the evening.

I finished the first skein of yarn for my bag and started the second skein. My right hand got a bit sore though, so I'm taking a break for this evening.

Yeah, sometimes the spirit is willing but other parts start to register protests.

It snowed again and threw everything for a loop, but all of my craft time since the last time I checked in has been the same: knit just enough to feel like I have done so, work on altered book backgrounds/test materials/research, and organize supplies a little bit at a time.

I did finish the perler bead Care Bears though.
