Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Happy to hear that your heating is finally fixed, especially with them for casting snow in some areas this week!

Those who get snow despise it and those who live where it never snows can only think about how delighted they'd be watching it fall! Stay warm!

I know how you feel in reverse - they said our overnight low tonight will be 29 after 38 today and again tomorrow. No reprieve from the heat until Tuesday (though at least this is only the first of the really hot days this summer). Blech!

YEA!! I am so happy for you!

Haven't checked in for ages so apologies for that, I'm still alive! I was flat out over Christmas finishing writing projects and then back to work, and because of low/no covid cases, the office. I feel more tired after a day at the office than a day at home, even though I do less hours on account of the added commute time.
This weekend however I started my nine day fortnight work arrangements and because of a public holiday I have five days off, so out came the papercraft boxes again (it's worth the mess if I've got the time for it to get it out and pack it all back up again). I've made ten cards so far, but need to stop and do more more writing.

I've made a terrible mistake by swatching so many projects at once. I thought it was a good idea so I only had to do one or two lots of blocking and measuring, but now I have five WIP projects and my fingers are itching to finish other things no matter which one I pick up. I apparently thrive on finishing things even more than I thought! D:

So I have half a mitten, some tested tweaks waiting to go for a sweater, my yarn bag panels that still need to be blocked and lined, and part of the second colour done for my rainbow shawl - my new/extra colours have arrived for it, and they fit in perfectly yay \o/ plus two scarves that need blocking, another than needs a thorough wash because it's crocking, and my hat plans are on hold because I need to swatch yet again for it because the needle size is still very very wrong *helpless shrug*

Needless to say my yarn/project shelf is bit of a mess right now, heh, and I'm totally frozen by indecision.
