Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

18 rows on the sleeve so far this evening. I've paused now until after the mobile fishmonger calls because I don't want to have to abandon my knitting halfway through a row. Hoping to get some more done later.

I'm so lucky I live where I do. Having a mobile fishmonger is awesome, the fish is so much fresher than you can buy in store, fresh from the docks and on ice until it reaches the customers.

I got 38 rows done, but the sleeve is too narrow, so I'm probably going to rip it back to the cuff and start again. =(

The mobile fishmonger always sounds so magical.

So far it's better than the first attempt, widening faster thanks to the more frequent increases, and it's easier to remember which rows I increase on.

WE had Ken the Fish when I was younger. He retired, and now it's Mark the Fish. I don't know how other people manage without a mobile fishmonger.

The more I think about it, the weirder it is we don't have a mobile fishmonger. I mean, our local seafood is literally one of the things they advertise when trying to get people to move or vacation here...

Maybe it's a British thing. Distances are a lot smaller here, but even then, we're just lucky to live on the route of this fishmonger. I've never even hear of anyone else having one. I know he goes different places on different days, and he can't be the only mobile fishmonger in the country, but I also don't think it's all that common.

I've worked on the inside of the covers of Baby Books #2 and 3. The sorting of paper rests by colour yesterday proved very useful. Even so, it is slow and fussy work, but I managed to finish the inside of the front covers. As tomorrow will be another day in, I hope to move on to the back covers. We'll see.

A drop in the ocean, considering how detailed such a book is, and I'll have to make three! But I'm happy with every bit of progress I can make.

I worked a bunch on the turkey stitch for my guinea pig project and also started my first (crocheted) scarf! I am learning double crochet for this and it's very exciting. :)

GUINEA PIG! SQUEEEEE! I love guinea pigs, I hope the turkey stitch is working better this time and making for a fuzzy guinea pig *grins* (My username is actually based on one of my late guinea pigs, Frizzle, the badly knitted pig. He looked like he was coming unravelled).

Good luck with the double crocket, that's very exciting indeed!
