Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

The rainbow arm warmers pictured yesterday are now sewn up, while the brown and pink ones are pinned ready to be sewn.


The rest of the mini meeces have their brooch backs sewn on, including 4 meeces who'd turned out smaller than the regular size so I decided to make them into brooches too.


And I've knitted 5 mini meece bodies. Don't worry, I'm not going into meece-making mode again, these are to replace some I've given away recently. I figured I might as well do them now while I'm working on the other mini meeces, get them all done and clear the decks so I can get started on the new sweater. I've already got everything out for meece making anyway. No point putting stuff away and having to get it out again later in the year. That's my excuse anyway.

Mini meeces for the win! And hooray for sewing up the rainbow arm warmers - they are very pretty, although it is strange how the patterns differ so greatly!

The mini meeces are coming along well! I just made the ears for the 5 I knitted earlier. Planning on attaching tails to some of the almost completed ones.

It is very weird how much the two arm warmers differ, but I'll wear them even though they don't match.

I've made the paper template for the quiet book binding and cut the cotton fabric for the (hopefully) right size, too. I usually suck at such things and can only hope and pray that the end product will be usable. The fact that I've already managed to get it together six times doesn't mean a thing! I can easily screw up the seventh and eight versions, which are currently in progress.

So, fingers crossed for tomorrow when I'll take out my faithful handmaid, Louise (= the baby sewing machine) for the long, straight seam. Not that it would be even close to being, you know, *straight*. Louise is too fast for me, and the seams always end up crooked, no matter how hard I try. And no, doing them by hand won't help. I'm excellent at making crooked seams by hand, too. At least Louise does it in five minutes, while by hand it would take an hour or so.

Fingers crossed that you got it right! Good luck with the machine sewing. I don't know how anyone sews straight with a machine. I know some people can, but it must take a lot of skill and practice, so try not to let the crooked seams get to you.

Dark and rainy today. I scrubbed the critter water dish and finished up my batch of dishcloths.

Haven't decided what to work on until the yarn for continuing the cardi arrives.

Trying to get the last seam on the lining gore done, but I have a few computer things to do tonight, so it might not get done. I'll try though!
