Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: No question today.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Today has been all writing and chores. Laundry, dishes, fire... *sigh*

Of creativity they're a drain
But there's TV tonight
Which with any luck might
Mean that BK is knitting again

We shall see! I'm listening now, but it's the next show I'm more likely to knit during.

Coming up: more of that unpleasant, tedious and boring work, stitching through four to seven layers of hard felt, lining stuff, double-sided tape and the likes.

Good luck with the rest of the cross-grain binding and may you have no more undoings required!

The tedium will be worth it in the end, you just have to make it through the horrible to get to the "look at the cool thing I (you) made" part.
...I might also be binging too many children's cartoons.

We'll both get back to knitting eventually.

- put things that belong here that are out of place in place
- put things that don't belong here into a box/bag
- put rubbish into the bin
- shred what needs to be shredded
- file the papers (because they've been unfiled for waaaay too long)
Also: at least one more Trip Around The World Block because I've had the strips laid out for three days now and no inspiration to do.
(Sorry, this is more of a to-do list than a 'done' comment.)

I made brownies to offer the workers at John's house tomorrow for a second weekend of cleanup. Cross your fingers that it goes as well as last time, because that will mean the majority of the debris is gone from the house. I'll be on tea & cocoa duty again.

Fingers definitely crossed. I'm sure the workers will appreciate the tea, cocoa, and brownies.

For today's stitch and stream, I watched The Bob's Burgers Movie and I started watching Hilda. On the scarf, I've finished the 2x2 ribbing section and am back to doing the garter ridge pattern, so approximately 3 inches into that section and 29 inches into the scarf in total.
I also tried to see if I could get a size #13/9mm circular needle, at least 36 inches long locally, but the only place in town that sells knitting needles only sells one size of circular needles and they are #8/5mm and only 18 inches long. So, it looks like I will be ordering them online.

Sucks that you can't get the size and length of circular needle you want. 36 inches is long! What will you be using it for?

It's for a very large, chunky blanket. The pattern recommends at least 36 inches. I think the cast on is 102 stitches, or something close to that. It's a simple blanket though. The whole thing is just a seed stitch pattern with twisted tassels you add at the end on two sides.
