Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

In the upper right corner: Septie, the sparkly septopus. In the middle of the left side: Grumpy, the jellyfish. I christened the crab Happy. The other creatures are still unnamed. *g*

I think I'd be grumpy, too, if I had a big, honking star in the middle of my face, covering my features. But I wanted a patterned piece of felt for this one and, well, it turned out a bit odd.

I've made excellent progress on my jumper over the holidays, about 12cms of the body - it's knit in the round - in the last week.

Still seaming the blanket. I have a row and a half left, but I've hit a standstill at the moment because I need to re-crochet the next motif (this was the offending one that ended up with nine sides instead of eight) and I seem to have misplaced the hook I used for the motifs, grr. Gonna take a video game break, I think, to let dinner settle, and then I'll search for the missing hook and continue on.

I had hoped to finish the blanket tomorrow so I could bring it to Stitch Club on Thursday and show it off, but I'm thinking it's not likely. Even if I finish the seaming tonight, I have a LOT of ends to weave in and the border to crochet. Ah well, they'll see it eventually.

Crochet hooks do have a bad habit of vanishing when they're needed. I hope yours turns up soon so you can get your blanket finished!
