Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Managed to finish the second arm warmer and cast off while watching the first heat of World's Strongest Man, but I kept getting distracted by a massive fly. The milder weather must have brought it out of hiding again, I was battling it a few weeks ago, but I finally got it this time! Smooshed it flat with my trusty swatter. I am the champ!

I was glad to finally be rid of that damn fly!

Now I've got three pairs to sew up though...

I started working on the deep sea page: I've cut out the rather complicated coral pattern I found somewhere on the 'net and begun to sew together the two layers of it. It must be two layers of hard felt, or else it would be ruined too soon when the kid keeps moving the submarine hiding behind it up and down.

Yay probably isn't the right expression - at the moment I'd rather tend towards "ouch"! After two days, the dratted thing still isn't finished!

Today I stood in John's backyard and babysat his dishes. The kitchen mostly escaped the fire, but of course not the firehoses. It got over freezing this afternoon, so they brought dishes outside and I let them sit in the sun for a few minutes then pulled the ice off.

I'm starting the cardigan in a few minutes. I just poked around the house this morning.

Which I have yet to start because my hook immediately vanished. Maybe I'll find it in the fridge tomorrow, or some other ridiculous place. I had it while I was typing next to me on the table.

Has it snuck under your computer? My pens keep doing that.

Not even there! I even looked in the fridge. If it doesn't turn up shortly I'll use a size smaller or larger.

How annoying! I swear things like crochet hooks can camouflage themselves so it's impossible to se them even when they're right there.

Every home has a black hole hidden somewhere. My mother has a list of things that have vanished in our flat during the last couple of years... and not just small ones! The most ridiculous ones are two full-sized towels that are no-where to be found.
